Panel Types
Pithy offers various panel types to display information from different services.
Google (requires sign-in)
Gmail - Your email inbox. Filter by label, show unread only, or display recent messages.
Calendar - Upcoming events from your Google Calendar. Choose which calendars to show.
Tasks - Your Google Tasks lists.
Drive - Recent files from Google Drive.
Microsoft (requires sign-in)
Outlook - Email from your Microsoft account.
Outlook Calendar - Events from your Microsoft calendar.
News (no login needed)
BBC News - Headlines from BBC News feeds.
Hacker News - Top stories from Hacker News.
RSS - Custom RSS feed from any URL.
Social (requires sign-in)
Bluesky - Your Bluesky timeline.
Mastodon - Posts from your Mastodon instance.
Productivity
Readwise - Highlights from your Readwise account (requires API key).
Slack - Messages from Slack channels (requires sign-in).
Built-in (no login needed)
Weather - Current conditions and forecast. Set your location.
Web Content - Fetch and display content from any public URL. Useful for status pages, documentation, or any webpage.
Panel Settings
Every panel has configurable settings:
- Title - The name shown in the panel header
- Additional Instructions - Guide how content should be displayed or summarised
- Auto-refresh Interval - How often to update (0 = manual only)
- Icon - Optional custom icon
Integration-specific settings vary. For example:
- Gmail lets you filter by label or unread status
- Calendar lets you choose which calendars to include
- Weather asks for your location
Customising Display
The Additional Instructions field lets you guide how content appears. Examples:
- “Show only the subject line and sender”
- “Summarise in bullet points”
- “Highlight anything urgent”
This is processed by AI, so plain English works well.
